Nylon PA12 är inte utan anledning det överlägset mest förekommande materialet för processen SLS and one of the most common materials in 3D printing. This material is perfect for series production, the production of functional and visual prototypes and architectural models. It is not as elastic as PP but is cheaper, can be dyed in a variety of colors and sealed for full waterproofness. If higher resistance to wear, increased stiffness and higher temperature resistance are desired, PA12 is also available as aluminum-reinforced PA12-AF and glass-reinforced PA12-GF.
