TPU 90A

TPU 90A has enormous wear resistance and durability, is relatively soft and is very reminiscent of the feel of the rubber used in car tires. Thanks to manufacturing with the MJF process, very high complexity is allowed, and the surfaces get a grainy, stylish texture with hidden layer lines. TPU 90A is very resistant to water and UV but is weak against chemicals.

3D printing with TPU 90A

TPU 90A is a thermoplastic elastomer based on polyurethane and is a thermoplastic variant of polyurethane rubber. TPU 90A is very similar in softness and dimensional stability to car tires. This material is perfect for prototypes of rubber parts or functional components where high demands are placed on abrasion resistance, durability and elasticity. By varying the thickness of the component, different softness can be achieved – 1 mm feels soft while 5 mm starts to become quite stiff.
